The Basics: Macrodosing is about taking enough psilocybin to induce a significant psychedelic experience. For this amount, if it's your first time, start with 0.5g-1g of psilocybin mushrooms. Each time you do a macrodome, increase in increments of 0.5g.-1g if you do not have your preferred experience. Be sure not to increase it if you already have an ideal experience.
When you want to do a macro dose, start small and work until you find an area you are satisfied with that doesn’t endanger you. “Danger” doesn’t mean danger from the amount due to poisoning or overdose, but rather a danger due to the inability to manage the intense experience or stepping through a door to a different realm of consciousness. For macrodosing, you will determine how strong of a dose you will be under while doing your workouts, meditations, breathing exercises, and more. Ensure that you are entirely safe and have a “trip sitter” who will essentially watch, care, and even help guide you through our experience. If the experience drifts wrong, this trusted individual will de-escalate the situation.
It is always important to take breaks between doses whenever you microdose or macrodome. (1) You want to give time for you to reflect. (2) You want your mind and brain to integrate the new neural connections properly. Don’t, and you are constantly taking psychedelics without breaks. Your mind will be in a constant state of chaos and flux while never actually establishing an understanding of how to utilize the new connections. Because of the sensitivity of the timing, there is a different pattern in which you should macrodome.
Earlier, it was stated that microdosing could be done on one day off, one day on, two days off, and five days on two days off. Macrodosing requires longer times off, such as one day on, three weeks off, or one day on and four weeks off. The off time of your large macro doses should be filled with subtle microdoses. This is called the boosting and maintenance stages.
